Hey, polio's back! Tell a friend!

Dec 09, 2019

Polio is back in Malaysia, 27 years after it was eradicated.

A three-month-old boy in Tuaran, Sabah has been infected with a strain that is linked to a recent polio outbreak in the Philippines.

The child is in an isolation ward in hospital. He belonged to a community that did not have herd immunity.

Polio is infectious, potentially deadly and has no cure. It can only be prevented through vaccination.

Azmin denied rumours he's setting up a new party, but admitted he has issues with PKR's leadership, which he is willing to work out.

Meanwhile, party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Azmin will not be sacked, despite such calls within the party.
