KL police offering 50% discount on traffic summonses

KL police are offering a 50 percent discount for various types of traffic summonses from December 24 to 26th in conjunction with Christmas. 

Among the summonses eligible for the discount are those attached to ongoing trials, as well as those issued during Ops Selamat.

It could become compulsory for parents to ensure their children go to school until they're 17 years old. 

The National Education Policy Committee is currently studying proposed amendments to the Education Act.

Vocational training may also be introduced as an option for students who are less academically inclined.

The upgraded RON95 petrol with European fuel standard specifications will be available at petrol stations nationwide starting next month.

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry says this high-grade RON95 petrol quality is on a par with RON97.

It adds that this new grade of petrol is friendlier to the environment as it reduces smoke production.
