Influenza vaccine at government health facilities, will only be given to young children and the elderly.

The Health Ministry says it will prioritise patients in the high-risk groups, with weakened immune systems.

Such individuals are more likely to get complications from the viral infection, which can result in death.

It adds, the vaccine will also be given to the ministry's frontliners such as doctors and nurses, as they're exposed to infected patients.
