Election Commission chief's concerns on e-voting

The Election Commission is concerned about implementing electronic voting in Malaysia.

It's chief, Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun said he's worried about the security of the process. 

Meanwhile, he says the commission hopes to implement automatic voter registration earlier than the initial target of mid-next year

Health officials have been placed at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport due to growing concerns over the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus

The death toll from the virus in China has risen to 9, with 440 confirmed cases. 

Meanwhile, Macau has confirmed its first case of pneumonia linked to the new coronavirus. 

Bank Negara Malaysia lowers OPR

Bank Negara has lowered the Overnight Policy Rate to 2.75% from 3%

Reducing the OPR was a pre-emptive measure to secure improving growth trajectory amid price stability

Meanwhile, Malaysia's Consumer Price Index rose 1% in December last year, driven by nearly all indexes except clothing, footwear, and transport.
