83-year-old American becomes Malaysia's 22nd COVID-19 case

Malaysia's total number of COVID-19 infections is now at 22, after confirming three more cases. 

The newest additions involve two Chinese nationals and one American woman.

The country's latest case is an 83-year-old American woman who flew in, after disembarking a cruise ship that recently docked in Cambodia, after being turned away from five other countries. 

Meanwhile, Cambodia's Health ministry and the cruise operator have requested Malaysia to review the American's test results.

This as they claim that the woman had tested negative when they conducted their own screenings.

France confirms its first COVID-19 death - First outside Asia

France has confirmed its first death linked to the coronavirus, making it the first fatality outside Asia. 

The French health minister says the victim was an 80-year old tourist from Hubei, China.

Meanwhile China's death toll has exceeded 1,600... with over 68 thousand confirmed infections. 

Singapore adds five more corovirus cases, tally now 72

Singapore has confirmed another five coronavirus infections, bringing its tally to 72. 

The newly infected involve three Singaporeans, one Bangladeshi national and a Chinese national. 

None of them have recent travel history to China.
