Two more COVID-19 patients in Malaysia discharged

Malaysia has confirmed two more COVID-19 patients have made full recoveries. 

The two Chinese nationals have since been discharged from hospital. 

Things brings the country's tally of recovered coronavirus patients to 17, while five are still being treated. 

Meanwhile, the Health Minister has shared some details about the four Malaysians who were onboard the COVID-19 stricken ship in Japan: 

Two out of three passengers have tested positive for the virus, and are being treated at a hospital in Nagoya

The third passenger is free of the virus, and has been allowed to return home.

While another Malaysian, who was serving as a crew member is still being monitored. 

Two former passengers from cruise ship in Japan dies 

Two former passengers from a coronavirus stricken cruise vessel in Japan, have died due to COVID-19.

The two elderly victims are the first fatal cases from the cruise ship, which saw more than 600 people infected. 

Earlier, over 400 passengers have disembarked from the ship after testing negative for the coronavirus, following a two week quarantine period. 

Meanwhile, China's deathtoll has risen to over 2000, while Iran has reported two COVID-19 fatalities, the first death cases in the Middle East. 

NIOSH Chief says no issues of job loss amid coronavirus outbreak 

No credible research has been pointed out to suggest there will be major job losses due to a prolonged COVID-19 outbreak. 

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) chief says there have been no issues of job loss, as the country is able to manage the infection spread. 

This, after the Malaysian Employers Federation claimed that some 100,000 Malaysians could lose their jobs if the outbreak continues till the end of the year. 

Meanwhile, the Deputy Human Resources Minister said the statement was not back up by any verified statistics.
