Avoid second wave together!

May 13, 2020

Malaysia is concerned about a second wave of Covid-19 infections, having seen a resurgence in cases in countries that have previously recovered from the coronavirus.

However, Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah is calling on every Malaysian to do their part, to help break the chain of infection here:

"We are empowering the public to follow the SOP. If they can follow, rest assured we can bring down cases. So the onus is not only on MOH, but on each individual in the country, they have to comply”

His statement comes following the emergence of new Covid-19 clusters in China and South Korea, which has sparked concern about a potential second wave of infections.

Food trucks, roadside food vendors and other food operators without a permanent premise can also start operating, but only for drive-throughs, take-away and deliveries.

Meanwhile, folks in Penang will be able to dine in at hotels, shopping malls and fast-food restaurants from Friday.
