Health DG: No need to worry about spike in Covid-19 cases

There’s no need to worry about the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases detected at immigration detention depots in Bukit Jalil, Semenyih and Sepang.
The Health Ministry says most of these new cases took place at Immigration depots which were isolated from the public.
This comes as the daily new cases in Malaysia returned to 3 digits with 172 reported yesterday.
Of the new cases, 159 are foreigners whereby 112 were identified at the three immigration depots.
There are 5 active Covid-19 clusters

The Health Ministry says there are 5 active Covid-19 clusters, including two new clusters at the Sepang immigration depot and a KL construction site.
The other three are the Bukit Jalil and Semenyih immigration depot clusters and the church gathering cluster.
Police will continue to track down interstate travel violators

The IGP says police will continue to track down those who’ve managed to beat roadblocks to cross between states in violation of the conditional movement control order.
He adds that only about 5% of them are not complying to the interstate travel ban.
