No need to wear face mask while jogging, driving alone

There is no need to wear a face mask when carrying out activities alone such as jogging or driving.

Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says you’re only required to do so, when you have symptoms or are surrounded by people.

He says wearing an N95 face mask up to three or four hours could cause breathlessness.

A man in the US died wearing the N95 face mask due to the lack of oxygen.

Health DG: Still too early to decide whether to lift CMCO

Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says it is still very early for the Ministry to decide whether to lift the Conditional movement control order  after June 9.

He says it is now important for authorities to monitor the Covid-19 situation involving foreigners since over the last couple of weeks the number of Malaysians infected is not that high.

Putrajaya firm in enforcing laws against drink driving

The government is firm in enforcing laws against drink driving and will ensure proposed amendments to the Road Transport Act are tabled in the Dewan Rakyat soon.

The De facto Law Minister says non-Muslims will not be barred from drinking alcohol, but must abide by the nation’s laws.

This, comes after a man, who rammed his truck into several people at a hawker site in Hulu Selangor, two days before Hari Raya was charged with attempted murder.

The 32-year-old, believed to be drunk during the incident, pleaded not guilty.
