PM back to work after two-week self-isolation

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been cleared to return to work today.
The Health Ministry confirmed that the Prime Minister, and others who were placed under home-quarantine after attending a recent post-Cabinet meeting, are all free of COVID-19.
Even the officer, whose positive test triggered the quarantine order for the others, is starting to show signs of improvement.

Dr Maszlee Malik calls for schools to be reopened ASAP
Former Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik has proposed that staggered classes be conducted when schools eventually reopen, to ensure that social distancing can be maintained.
He told Sinar Harian that its important students return to school as soon as its safe to do so, even if classes are held just once a week.

Job losses spike amid COVID-19 crisis
Job losses in the country have risen 42 percent year-on-year in the first quarter because of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to SOCSO, more than 37 percent of businesses suffered a drop in demand, while 42 percent were not able to operate as usual due to the MCO.
It also warned that this trend is expected to continue from April onwards, with the unemployment rate forecast to be higher this year, compared to the 1997 Asian financial crisis.
