Zero daily cases possible

Jun 10, 2020

The Health Director-General is not ruling out the possibility, that Malaysia can record zero new Covid-19 infections in the near future.

It comes as the country recorded no transmissions among locals yesterday, with only seven new infections reported, involving six imported cases and one foreign worker.

Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah urged everyone to maintain the discipline that we've already shown, adding that zero cases is not impossible if we work as a team.

Police will be conducting patrols along major roads and highways, now that inter-state travel is allowed under the RMCO.

In addition to monitoring traffic flow, the cops will also be on the lookout for drunk drivers and motorists who speed, among other offences.

Meanwhile, PLUS is expecting a 15 to 20 percent increase in traffic along its highway over the next few days.
