Swab tests not needed for students returning to campus, hostels
Jan 16, 2021
Putrajaya says secondary and tertiary students returning to campuses or hostels do not have to undergo Covid-19 swab tests unless they display symptoms.
This follows suggestions for students to undergo screening before returning to campuses or hostels, with the cost borne by students.
Meanwhile, exam students with long hair in MCO areas will be allowed to go to school without receiving any reprimands from teachers as barbershops are not allowed to operate.
Optometry services and optical shops have been given permission to operate in MCO areas from 6am to 8pm.
The government says the National Security Council made that decision after considering them essential services.

This brings the national tally to over 151 thousand, with active cases now at around 35 thousand.
