The management of private residences like condos and apartments can require residents to be tested for Covid-19.

Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the government will not stand in the way of such measures to protect residents.

This amid reports that several residential buildings have made such a rule on tenants, especially foreigners, failing which they'll be denied entry to the premises.

Starting today, more businesses will be allowed to extend their operating hours to 10pm.

This will apply to supermarkets, sundry shops, convenience stores, pharmacies, laundrettes, shops selling pet food, and optical shops.

There has been no violation of SOPs for the Thaipusam celebration throughout the country so far.

PDRM also dismissed a viral video claiming that there was a violation of SOP during the chariot journey in KL on Wednesday.
