No total economic lockdown even if worst case scenario

The government has no plans to implement a total lockdown on the economy, even if the number of COVID-19 infections continues to rise.

The Finance Ministry says it will instead focus on enforcing tighter SOPs.

Meanwhile, it is confident that the COVID-19 national vaccination program will boost the country's economic recovery.

Private vehicle owners exempted from renewing license

Private vehicle owners will be exempted from renewing their driver's licences, from February 1st to March 31st due to the ongoing Movement Control Order.

The Transport Minister says holders of expired licenses must renew them within 30 days after the exemption period ends.

The exemption does not apply to commercial vehicles' road tax or vocational licenses.
