Minister clarifies condos can only screen foreigners

Putrajaya has clarified that its remarks on condo managements asking their residents to submit Covid-19 tests do not apply to Malaysians.
Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob explained that condo managements are allowed to impose such measures even though screening tenants is not required by the government.
Four secondary schools in Sabah have been ordered to close for 10 days.
This is after 10 students and 4 teachers from the schools contracted Covid-19.
Malaysia has recorded its all-time high of Covid-19 cases with 5,725 new infections.
This is also the first time the country has breached the 5,000 mark in daily cases.
The latest cases raised the nation’s caseload to more than 203 thousand.
