DG worried about spike in workplace clusters

The Health Director General is concerned about the spike in COVID-19 clusters involving workplaces.
Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says they accounted for 64% of the 350 new coronavirus clusters reported between the 6th to 22nd of January this year.
He pointed most of the workplace clusters involved the manufacturing sector, followed by the construction and service-related industries.
They account for some 28 thousand confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Thaipusam chariot procession will go ahead in KL

The National Security Council has given the green light for the Thaipusam chariot procession to take place in KL this year, amid the ongoing MCO.
The Federal Territories Minister says strict SOPs will be in place, and DBKL will ensure they are followed at all times.
Among others, the chariot will not be allowed to make any stops along the way, while a maximum of 10 people would be allowed to accompany it.

Larry King dies
Veteran US talk show host Larry King has died at age 87.
No official cause of death was given, but previous reports said that he was recently hospitalised for COVID-19
Tributes to King have poured in since news off his passing broke.
Former president Bill Clinton hailed him as a man with a great sense of humor and a genuine interest in people.
