Public unis' second semester could be postponed

The second semester for public universities this March, could be postponed due to the country’s COVID-19 situation.
The Higher Education Minister says there have been calls from students who are concerned with the recent spike in cases.
She says any decision will be made at least a month in advance, to ensure that students can make necessary arrangements.

Government urged to review teachers’ safety amid physical lessons at school

Teachers providing physical lessons at schools could be at risk of contracting COVID-19.
The National Union of the Teaching Profession said this, after several teachers in Terengganu were recently infected by the coronavirus.
It has urged the government to review the safety of teachers, including allowing them to wear personal protective equipment in classes.

Over 3,000 more COVID-19 cases today
Malaysia has recorded 3,048 new COVID-19 cases today.
Selangor reported the highest number of infections with 1,035, followed by 529 in Johor, and Sabah 348.
The Health Ministry also recorded 11 more fatalities, raising the death toll to 689.
