Public calls for CNY SOPs to be reviewed

The government has been urged to review SOPs imposed for the Chinese New Year celebration next week.

The National Unity Ministry says it will relay these concerns to the relevant authorities.

Yesterday, the government decided that celebrations can only take place at home with members of the same household, and that devotees are banned from praying at temples.

COVID-19 death toll up to 845, after 19 more pass away

3,391 new COVID-19 cases were reported today.

Selangor continues to record the highest number of infections, with 1,228 cases, followed by 598 in Johor and KL with 395.

MW, the Health Ministry says 19 more patients have passed away due to the virus, raising the death toll to 845.

Seek help for depression caused by COVID-19 pandemic

Many people have been hit hard due to the re-introduction of the Movement Control Order, and this could affect your mental and emotional wellbeing.

Clinical psychologist Wong Ging Ging has advised the public to look out for signs of depression and to seek help from experts.

Among others, she says this includes a loss of interest in favourite pastimes, lack of sleep and appetite, as well as strong feelings of helplessness and exhaustion.

She also suggests reaching out to loved ones for emotional support during these difficult times.
