MOH issues guidelines for CNY celebration
Feb 12, 2021
Malaysians celebrating Chinese New Year have been advised to hold virtual get-together with family members from other households.
The Health Ministry says physical gatherings should not involve talking closely, loudly, screaming, and singing as these could increase the chances of spreading Covid-19 virus.
These are among the 11 guidelines prepared in accordance with the new norms for the festivity to minimise the risk of Covid-19.
All EPF contributors will soon be able to make withdrawals from their Account 1 under the i-Sinar facility.
The Finance Minister says various conditions barring such withdrawals are being removed on the advice of the PM, following feedback from the public.
Those, who had already applied for i-Sinar under the current criteria, will have their applications automatically approved in due course.
However, the amounts for withdrawal from Account 1, as well as the 6-month payment schedule maximum will remain as they are.
Candidates, who are unable to sit for major examinations this month because they have been ordered to quarantine or have tested positive for Covid-19 must produce evidence for their absence to sit for rescheduled exams.
The Education Ministry says they must provide documents certifying that they had seen a doctor and received treatment.
