Ministry targets 126,000 Covid-19 vaccinations per day

Some 126 thousand people are expected to be vaccinated per day, once the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination program is in full swing.
The Health Ministry says inoculation will be conducted at 600 locations nationwide, with each location manned by seven officers.
The first phase of the vaccination drive begins at the end of this month, for frontliners including medical and security personnel.
New cases above 3k again
3,499 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, with Selangor once again accounting for most of the infections, followed by Johor and KL.
There were also five fatalities reported yesterday, bringing the overall death toll to 958.
Houses of worship allowed to reopen
Non-Muslim houses of worship have been allowed to reopen for the remainder of the MCO, which is scheduled to end this coming Thursday.
It will be subject to strict SOP’s…including limiting attendance to 30 people at a time.
Trump cleared

Former US president Donald Trump has been acquitted of inciting last month’s deadly attack on the US Capitol.
This, after the Senate fell short of the two-thirds majority needed for a conviction.
Had Trump been convicted, the Senate could have voted to bar him from running for office ever again.
Quake rocks Japan

Tremors were felt in parts of Japan, including the capital Tokyo, after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Fukushima.
Several dozen injuries have been reported, although there’ve been no reports of any fatalities…while no tsunami warning was issued.
