Malaysians urged to trust the Covid-19 vaccine

Malaysians have been urged to trust the science behind the Covid-19 vaccine.

The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister once again assured that the vaccines obtained by the government have been tested, and proven safe and effective.

Khairy Jamaluddin also says it is vital that there are no interruptions to the nationwide vaccination drive, as delays could lead to negative economic implications.

Police have started an investigation into allegations that Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa had violated Covid-19 SOP’s by eating at a table with several other people.

KL Police say they will record a statement from the minister soon, as part of the probe.

Sexual Harrasment Bill ready soon

The Sexual Harassment Bill is expected to be ready in March, and will be tabled at the next session of Parliament.

The Women, Family, and Community Development Minister says the draft has already been sent to the AG’s Chambers, while awareness efforts have already started via the ministry’s various agencies.

She said this, following calls from several parties for the bill to be expedited, in the wake of recent sexual harassment allegations involving the police.

Ministry looking into 'sugar baby' claims

The Higher Education Ministry will investigate recent reports that more students in public and private universities are registering as ‘sugar babies’ on a dating platform.

It says it views the matter seriously and will contact the universities to find out more.
