today is tan sri muhyiddin yassin's 1st anniversary as pm

Today marks Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's 1st anniversary as Prime Minister.

In a special interview on the occasion, he shared how he rates Perikatan Nasional’s performance thus far...

"I would say that our achievement over the past year was quite satisfactory. The administration functioned well"

"We did not overlook anything major, including matters pertaining to the education, social, health, economic, security and unity aspects. We are giving emphasis to matters which need primary attention. That’s what we are doing now."

Muhyiddin became Malaysia's 8th prime minister on this day last year, heading the Perikatan Nasional coalition comprising, among others, UMNO and PAS.

The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister and his team are aware of allegations circulating on social media regarding individuals jumping queues for Covid-19 vaccines.

Khairy Jamaluddin says investigations will be carried out and whistle-blowers can also email him anonymously over the issue.

This, as Kelantan’s government denied rumours that its leaders were pushed ahead of frontliners to receive the vaccine in the state.

Pre-schoolers as well as lower primary students are returning to school today, after the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted their education for most of last year.

Teacher Aprinita Gomez from SJKC Yuk Nam Tenom in Sabah shares with us how eager she is to receive her students…

“To be honest I'm a bit nervous since school is starting after a long break, however I do feel excited to restart teaching in the classroom rather than doing it virtually. And of course I know a lot of teachers prefer to teach face-to-face since the interaction will be much more different and it is more meaningful when it is done in an in-person environment.”

The Education Ministry decided to allow this group of students to start school earlier than the rest to enable teachers to get their young charges familiarised with the schools' SOPs.
