The Prime Minister says assistance to heads of households affected by the current east coast floods will be similar to the aid given during the flooding back in December.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this includes compassionate aid worth RM1,000, as well as RM2,500 ringgit for the purchase of necessities...

He adds that the government will build new houses for flood victims whose homes were completely destroyed.

The government will also channel RM10,000 to families who lost loved ones.

The Election Commission has revised some of the COVID-19 SOPs for the Johor state election.

Political rallies will be allowed to be held in the compound of parties’ main operation centres.

Rallies will also be allowed to take place until midnight, instead of 10pm previously.

However, attendance is still capped at 100.

The EC also reminded parties to abide by election campaign laws, as well as the SOPs to ensure the state polls go smoothly and safely.
