Mar 17, 2022

applications for epf withdrawal in april

Applications for the special EPF withdrawal scheme will be open from the 1st until the 30th of April.

The EPF says under the scheme, members below the age of 55 will be allowed to withdraw not more than RM10,000 and a minimum of RM50.

It adds that payment will be credited starting April 20th.

This comes after the Prime Minister announced the new scheme yesterday, which is aimed at helping those who are still affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob advised Malaysians to make careful considerations before making a withdrawal.

Contributors have been urged to seek professional advice before deciding to make special withdrawals from their EPF accounts.

As such, they fear that uninformed decisions could negatively affect their well-being in the long run.

The Parent Action Group for Education says authorities should do more to boost the COVID-19 PICKids vaccination program.

PAGE Chairman Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim says it is especially important in states with low vaccination rates.

She also hopes that parents who are still hesitant over the vaccine, will do more research to understand the benefits of getting their kids immunised.

Currently, some 34% of children aged 5 to 11 have already received their first dose.
