hfmd: perak parents told not to worry

Parents in Perak have been advised not to worry about sending their kids to school, despite a rise in hand, foot, and mouth disease cases there.

State authorities say it’s because the situation is still under control.

This comes after 42 kindergartens in Perak were ordered to close last week, as a precaution against HFMD.

Survey finds 80% youths eager to vote in GE15

It seems over 80% of young Malaysians are keen to cast their ballot in the upcoming 15th General Election.

A survey conducted by Architects of Diversity Malaysia, Undi18 and UndiNegaraku also found that Barisan Nasional has the most support among youths.

This, as over 15% of respondents said they would vote for BN in GE15, followed by Perikatan Nasional, MUDA, and Pakatan Harapan.

The survey also noted that 41% of respondents are still undecided on who to vote for in the election.

UMNO chief urges govt to tighten tourist entry to prevent monkeypox spread

The government has been urged to tighten the entry of foreign travellers into the country, amid concerns of the spread of monkeypox.

UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says that even though the risk of monkeypox transmission is not similar to COVID-19, the matter should not be taken lightly.

This, as monkeypox outbreaks have been reported in several countries including the US, France, and Canada.
