The Health Minister expects Malaysia to face a new wave of COVID-19 infections in the coming months.

Khairy Jamaluddin says it's because based on developments in other countries, a spike in COVID cases will occur periodically.

As such, he encouraged senior citizens and high-risk individuals to take the second booster shot, to better protect themselves against the coronavirus.

So far, more than 107,000 people have received the jab.

Boy in critical condition may have accidentally ingested drugs

Police in Kelantan have reminded parents to always monitor their children.

This, as they say the young boy who is in critical condition due to drugs MAY have

accidentally ingested drugs in his uncle’s car when they were at a known drug haunt.

They add that further investigations will be conducted into the vehicle.

Nine people have been arrested following the incident.

Six students escape tahfiz school fire

Six students managed to safely escape after a fire broke out at a tahfiz school in Seri Iskandar, Perak earlier today.

Fire and rescue authorities say 15% of the room was damaged.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
