394 areas in Petaling, KL and Hulu Langat are expected to experience unscheduled water cuts today.

Air Selangor says its due to a disruption at the Langat 2 treatment plant, caused by chemical pollution in the Semantan River.

The treatment plant is expected to resume operations at 3.30 this afternoon…with water supplies to be restored in stages after that.

The Transport Ministry has cleared the confusion about proposed licensing requirements for p-hailing riders.

It clarified that these riders will not be required to get a Goods Delivery License…nor will they need to get their vehicles inspected by Puspakom.

The ministry says riders will only be required to register for a vocational license, which is easy and affordable to obtain.

The Defense Minister says both he and his ministry are ready to cooperate with investigations into the Littoral Combat Ship scandal.

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein says they have nothing to hide, and want the matter resolved as quickly as possible.

This, after the Cabinet agreed to declassify the audit report into the military project, to address allegations of financial irregularities.

4,896 new Covid-19 cases were reported nationwide yesterday.

This was an increase of over 1,800 infections from the previous day’s tally.

There were also 12 additional fatalities…six of which were brought in dead cases.

While the number of recoveries stood at just under three thousand.
