The Education Ministry has taken precautions to ensure the SPM exam proceeds on schedule.

Minister Fadhlina Sidek says multiple ministries and agencies are working together to ensure the exam goes on without a hitch, after several states were hit by flooding recently.

The SPM written exam is set to take place from January 30th to March 7th.

Meanwhile, at last look, there were only around 26 flood evacuees in Kelantan…while there were some 22 victims still remaining in Pahang.

All victims in Johor have been allowed to return home, after floodwaters subsided.

Wisma Putra is keeping a close eye on yesterday’s plane collision at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.

It says our embassy there is working to determine if any Malaysians were among those affected.

This, after a passenger plane burst into flames upon landing, after colliding with a coastguard aircraft.

All 379 passengers and crew managed to evacuate safely, although five coastguard personnel did not survive.

The Negeri Sembilan Department of Occupational Safety and Health has opened an investigation into an incident, where a worker was killed in an explosion while setting up fireworks for a New Year’s celebration at a Port Dickson hotel.
