Malaysia has made the list of the top ten happiest countries in the world.

We can in fifth in a survey by a non-profit group…that assessed aspects like mental health, family dynamics and even personal trauma.

The Dominican Republic topped the list, ahead of Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Panama.

Meanwhile, the survey listed Uzbekistan as the unhappiest country, ahead of the UK and South Africa.

Muslims in Malaysia will begin their Ramadan fast tomorrow.

The Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal confirmed that the date was set by the order of His Majesty the King of Malaysia, with the consent of the Malay rulers.

The announcement was made following the ritual sighting of the moon yesterday.

The school curriculum for this year will not be affected by the decision to revert the start of the school session back to January in 2026.

The Education Director-General says there’s no need for parents to worry about the re-organisation…which will probably only result in a slight adjustment to the school holiday period.

Police say they’ve busted a robbery gang that had been targeting social media influencers…following the arrest of several suspects in Johor last week.

The gang – which consisted of three women and a man – would go after influencers who flaunted their wealth on social media…breaking-in when the victims were not home.

And Oppenheimer was the big winner at this morning’s Academy Awards…picking up seven prizes.  

It won the coveted Best Picture award…as well as best director for Christopher Nolan…best actor for Cilian Murphy and best supporting actor for Robert Downey Junior.  

Oppenheimer also won for best original score, editing and cinematography. 

Meanwhile, the best actress prize went to Emma Stone – her second Oscar in this category – for her role in Poor Things. 

And Billie Eilish won for Best Original Song for ‘What Was I Made For’ from the movie Barbie. 

At 22…Eilish is the youngest two-time Academy Award winner, having also picked up an Oscar in the same category for the James Bond theme No Time To Die.
