KLIA Shooter Charged Again

The KLIA shooting suspect has been charged with attempted murder at the Sepang Sessions Court, for opening fire at his wife earlier this month.

He was also hit with a charge of causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon…after the shot hit the woman’s bodyguard.

The 38-year-old suspect pleaded not guilty to the charges.

This comes after he also claimed trial to separate charges – including for possession of a firearm - in Kota Bharu yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Selangor government has handed over four e-scooters to the police, to enhance security at the KL International Airport.

A pair each will be stationed at Terminal 1 and 2 respectively.

Nearly five million Malaysians are currently at risk of being diabetic or pre-diabetic.

The Health Ministry says this could pose a problem to the country’s healthcare system…since diabetes cases account for almost half of the treatment costs.

It adds that its trying to encourage more Malaysians to get tested…since most don’t even know they’re at risk…and refuse to undergo regular checkups.

The Defence Ministry says families of the Lumut helicopter crash victims will be given 10 thousand ringgit in preliminary financial assistance.

Meanwhile, the Higher Education Ministry says the children of the victims will be exempted from paying university tuition fees.

Pakatan Harapan has picked DAP’s Pang Sock Tao as its candidate for the upcoming Kuala Kubu Baru by-election.

The 31-year-old is the press secretary to Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming.
