High Hopes For Gig Workers Bill

The proposed Gig Workers Bill is expected to be tabled in Parliament as early as next month.
The DPM says the suggested legislation will be the first of its kind in the world, specifically designed to safeguard the nation's gig economy industry.
He adds that the bill will help protect over 1.1 million Malaysians who are involved in the sector.

Motorists from neighboring countries who fail to settle their AWAS summonses will be blacklisted.
However, the Road Transport Department has given offenders a 60-day grace periodfrom yesterday, to settle any outstanding fines.
This, as the JPJ extended its special flat-rate compound payment offer until the end of the year…with over 1.5 million AWAS summonses currently unpaid.
