The Cabinet is focused on addressing the problem of synthetic drug addiction among young Malaysians.

This, after data showed that primary school kids are starting to get involved with Amphetamine Type Stimulants, which are easily available via digital platforms.

As such, the Youth and Sports Ministry says the government is now working closely with the MCMC…to crack down on the online sale of these narcotics.

In a related development, the Sultan of Pahang has repeated his call for a total ban on vape and e-cigarettes nationwide, given its adverse effects on the younger generation.

The newly-enforced seatbelt ruling for newer tour and express busses has been off to a good start.

The Pan Malaysian Bus Operators Association says feedback has been positive, since the ruling came into full effect earlier this week.

It told the NST that bus drivers have not encountered any significant problems in ensuring that passengers buckle up and hopes that this will continue.
