Commercial Drivers To Have License Suspended After Accidents

The JPJ has decided to immediately suspend the vocational license of commercial vehicle drivers who are involved in accidents.

It says the ruling is already in place, starting with the recent fatal accident involving FRU personnel back in May.

It also explains that the license suspension will be rescinded, if police investigations later clear the driver of any wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, the JPJ is also planning to make all commercial drivers involved in accidents, even those who are not guilty, pass a refresher course before their license can be reactivated.

Selangor is moving closer towards expanding its No Plastic Bag Day initiative across all 12 local authorities in the state.

Officials say the wider enforcement is expected to begin early next year.
