An Enhanced MyKad Is On The Way

an enhanced mykad is on the way

The National Registration Department will release an enhanced version of the MyKad starting June next year.

The Home Ministry adds that the new card will include upgraded security features like a QR code to prevent forgery.

The same enhancements will also be applied to the MyTentera and MyPOCA cards.

The flood situation continues to worsen.  

According to the Social Welfare Department's portal, over 29 thousand people have been displaced across seven states. 

Of that figure, nearly 11 thousand are seeking shelter in Kelantan.  

The remaining victims have been relocated to evacuation centers in Selangor, Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis, Perak, and Pahang.  

Separately, Met Malaysia has issued a continuous heavy rain warning for KL, Putrajaya, Selangor, Penang, Perak, and Terengganu as well as parts of Kedah and Pahang until this Saturday.  

A continuous rain alert is also in place for Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka, as well as Pahang and Johor for the same period.
