Leeway On Government Dress Code

There will be some leeway in the dress code for government counters.
The Chief Secretary to the Government explained that the dress code can be relaxed to ensure nobody is denied assistance, especially during emergencies.
This includes filing reports on accidents, fires, and disasters which can threaten lives and property.
For regular matters, department heads can use their discretion to determine if the clothing is appropriate based on existing guidelines.
This, following an incident where a woman who was trying to lodge a police report following a traffic accident, was denied access into a station in Melaka due to her attire.

Delaying the full enforcement of laws against overloaded heavy vehicles is not an option.
The Transport Ministry says it's because doing so could be a potentially dangerous move, as the number of accidents involving such vehicles is still alarmingly high.
It explained that assessments found that overloaded commercial vehicles face a heightened risk of brake failure, instability on downhill routes, and contribute significantly to road and bridge damage.

Police have recorded statements from seven witnesses in their investigation into the police shooting of three men in Melaka last month.
Earlier, cops claimed that the trio were serial robbers who had attacked an officer with a machete.

In Kota Kemuning, seven people were injured after a trailer collided with a toll booth and struck two other vehicles.
According to NST, those injured included a toll booth attendant, but all seven victims are in stable condition.

One man in Mont Kiara has died after a fire swept through a condo unit last night.
