PM: Master Bahasa Melayu Before UEC Recognition

Parties must consider Bahasa Melayu's position before making demands that touch on racial, ethnic or religious sentiments.
PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says this is because of the status of the national language under the Federal Constitution.
He said this amid recent calls to recognise the Unified Examination Certificate, or UEC.

The prosecution's final appeal in Syed Saddiq corruption case has been put on hold for a week.
The Federal Court ordered the temporary pause, after telling both the prosecution and defence to reassess the strength of their arguments, before deciding whether to go on with the appeal.
The prosecution filed the appeal with the apex court, after the Court of Appeal overturned the Muar MP’s conviction and sentence over the case, which is related to the misuse of funds from Bersatu's youth wing.
