Jan 23, 2026

grok ban lifted!

Grok is back in Malaysia!

This, after MCMC removed the temporary restriction on X's AI chatbot which was put in place over its ability to generate explicit content.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil says the ban was lifted after MCMC was satisfied with the social media platform's measures to prevent a repeat of such abuse..

Grok came under widespread global criticism after users abused the programme to generate explicit deepfakes of women and minors.

The PM has urged the Selangor govt to put its proposed Bukit Tagar centralised pig farming project on hold for now.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says the state should consider a more appropriate location, due to environmental concerns and objections from nearby residents...

The prime minister will soon meet with the Selangor Menteri Besar to discuss a solution to the issue.

So far, police have received 20 reports over the alleged abuse of an autistic child at a childcare centre in Shah Alam.

They've recorded a statement from centre's founder, as well as from a social media influencer who highlighted the case.

Viral posts had claimed that the 11-year-old child was locked inside a storeroom, triggering public outrage.

A foreign woman in JB has become the first person in Malaysia to be sentenced to community service for littering in public.

This, under the new anti-littering law that came into effect on January 1st.

Meanwhile, SW Corp says 400 littering notices were issued to offenders up until yesterday, and prosecutors have so far agreed to take 99 of the cases to court.
