Bersatu has sacked deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin from the party. 

This was confirmed by its secretary general Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, who said it was for breaches of the party's constitution.  

Meanwhile, Bersatu disciplinary board chairman said the sacking is effective immediately, but Hamzah has the right to lodge an appeal within two weeks.  

For now, Hamzah's role as the opposition leader has yet to be confirmed.

SWCorp has organised the first round of court-ordered community service for those convicted of public littering.  

This includes four offenders who were ordered to help clean up works around KL's Dataran Merdeka.  

Similar operations were held for other offenders in Johor, Pahang, Kedah, and Negeri Sembilan.

DBKL's traffic monitoring authority says there has been a 75% spike in traffic volume compared to last week, mainly due to people making preparations for Chinese New Year and the start of Ramadan. 

This added to congestion caused by normal work routines, as well as accidents and stalled vehicles along major roads.

The govt is setting up a special committee to investigate the issue of MACC chief Tan Sri Azam Baki's shareholding.

Meanwhile, the PM has urged all parties to give the committee space to conduct is probe before any action is taken, amid calls for Azam to be suspended from duty

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Bangladesh's BNP Party for its historic win in the country's election – the first since Sheikh Hasina was ousted in 2024.
