Most TB Cases Here Involve Locals

It is not true that the influx of foreigners into the country is driving the recent increase in tuberculosis cases here.
The Health Minister says this perception is inaccurate, since 85 percent of the cases involve locals.
He is also warning that the risk of transmission within our community is real, and should not be taken lightly.
As such, he is urging the public to seek immediate treatment if they display symptoms like a persistent cough, fever and weight loss.
