93 percent of Malaysians who do not own houses expect to do so in the next 5 years.

An international survey also found that 75 percent of M'sian millennials who intend to buy a house had not saved enough money for a down payment yet, while 43 percent are holding off their purchase because they cannot afford to buy the type of property they like yet.

Amid higher property prices, 62 percent of millennials were found to be willing to spend less on leisure, 41 percent were prepared to buy a smaller place.

23 percent considered buying a property with a family member.
