Australia drops fraud charges against Msian woman over bank error

Dec 01, 2017

Australian prosecutors have dropped fraud charges against a Msian woman, who spent nearly 5 million Aussie dollars that a bank had mistakenly deposited into her account, 5 years ago.

According to the Malay Mail, prosecutors determined there was "no deception" on her part for the bank’s mistake.

The 22-year-old was arrested at Sydney Airport last year, as she was trying to fly home and charged in court, after spending the money on designer clothes, handbags, and a luxury penthouse.
