AG wants heavier sentence for couple in viral harassment video

Nov 28, 2016

The Attorney General wants a heavier sentence for a couple who harassed a female Shah Alam City Council enforcement personnel last Thursday.

The duo were sentenced to 14 days jail and given an RM3,000 fine, but the AG says the penalty is too light.

As such, an appeal was filed on the same day after the sentence was meted out to the couple.

The married couple sparked outrage after they were seen in a viral video using physical force to prevent a female officer from discharging her duty in Sungai Buloh.
