No more quarantine for asymptomatic close contacts

Apr 15, 2022

no more quarantine for asymptomatic close contacts

The Health Minister says starting next Friday, asymptomatic COVID-19 close contacts will be subject to new SOPs.

Khairy Jamaluddin says they will no longer have to undergo quarantine even if they have not been vaccinated.

He adds that such individuals should follow several precautionary measures within five days after they were last exposed to the COVID patient.

This includes always wearing a face mask when outside their homes, avoiding crowded areas, and only travelling when necessary.

UMNO has chosen Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as its prime minister candidate in the upcoming 15th General Election.

The party’s secretary general says this follows an UMNO Supreme Council meeting yesterday.

He says among the issues decided in the meeting, the UMNO council is not in favour of extending the Memorandum of Understanding between Putrajaya and the Opposition, which expires on July 31st.

The council has also agreed to continue tabling the anti-hopping Bill and will not compromise with any parties attempting to stall the proposed Bill.

NUTP: Use Tiktok to teach kids, not to get teachers famous

no more quarantine for asymptomatic close contacts

The National Union of the Teaching Profession is supportive of educators using the popular app TikTok for teaching purposes.

However, the NUTP says they should not use the app to make themselves popular.

It also advised teachers not to make live recordings on the app during physical lessons, because they should give their full attention to students in class.

This is after a post went viral showing a teacher doing a recording session while teaching in a classroom.
