The Home Minister says Indonesia’s move to temporarily bar its workers from entering Malaysia was due to a misunderstanding.

He assured the Home and HR Ministries have already begun discussions to resolve the issue soon.

Earlier, reports said Indonesia had decided to stop sending its workers to Malaysia because of an alleged breach in the memorandum of understanding between the two countries.

Kedah to plan further action following investigations into Baling floods

The Kedah government, along with the relevant agencies will plan further action following the recent floods in Baling.

This, after investigations by the Environment and Water Ministry found that the flooding occurred due to a burst reservoir at a durian planting project.

Meanwhile, the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry says it has received instructions from the PM’s Office to lead an investigation into the Baling floods.

It assured that findings of the probe will be released to the public as soon as possible.

Three people were killed in the floods, while 41 areas were affected.

Man who allegedly sets fire in restaurant suffers from bipolar disorder

Police in Pahang say a man who allegedly set fire to a restaurant payment counter in Rompin, tested positive for drugs and suffers from bipolar disorder.

The suspect, who was arrested last week, is also accused of damaging a car with a sickle.

A video went viral on social media, showing the suspect splashing petrol at the restaurant before lighting the counter on fire.
