KPM Approves PdPR For Flood-Hit Sabah, Sarawak

The Education Ministry has approved home-based teaching and learning for students affected by the floods in Sabah and Sarawak.
Currently, 69 schools in both states have been impacted by floods, including 7 instutions in Sabah that are operating as temporary flood shelters.
Affected students are also given leeway to attend classes without wearing their school uniforms.
This, as Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim called for greater coordination between the federal government and Sabah to speed flood recovery efforts in the state.
The PM also called for the swift restoration of damaged roads and public infrastructure there.
According to the Social Welfare Dept's portal 1,800 people are currently housed at temporary flood shelters in Sabah.
Another 13 people are still displaced in Miri, Sarawak.

The govt is considering a proposal to expand the scope of the anti-bullying tribunal, so that it also covers cases involving those over the age of 18.
The Law and Institutional Reform Minister says it's because bullying also happens in higher learning institutions.

People with faulty MyKad chips have been advised to get them replaced before the RON95 petrol subsidy rationalisation is implemented later this month.
The Home Ministry says it's because a working chip is needed for identity verification at petrol stations.
