AG To Appeal In Pastor's Abduction Case
Nov 06, 2025

The AG’s Chambers will appeal the High Court’s decision on the disappearance of Pastor Raymond Koh.
This, after the judge ruled that the government and police were liable for breaching their statutory duties over his disappearance.
The judge also ordered both the govt and police to pay the pastor’s family 10 thousand ringgit per day from the date he was abducted, until his whereabouts are disclosed.
That amounts to more than 31 million ringgit, while the court also awarded damages totalling 6 million ringgit.
Koh’s wife, Susanna Liew, told the NST that though she’s happy with the judgement, no amount of money will bring him back.
Koh was pulled out of his car while driving in PJ, in an abduction in February 2017, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

The AG’s Chambers will also appeal a separate High Court ruling, that found the government and police liable for the enforced disappearance of Amri Che Mat, ordering them to pay over 3 million ringgit to his family.
The activist was last seen in November 2016, and his car was later found abandoned at a construction site in Kangar, with windows smashed.

It’s called The World and Humanity: Integrated Learning, and will combine science, health, music, visual arts, TVET and digital literacy.
The Education Ministry says the subject aims to help primary school students master literacy and numeracy, and build character.
