Malaysia's Chan Peng Soon is calling time on his badminton career.

Liverpool will reportedly renew their interest in Borussia Monchengladbach's Manu Kone in this month's transfer window, after a proposed summer move fell through.

Liverpool are still in the market for a new midfielder, following several departures in the off season and their failure to sign Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

Tottenham and Juventus are also interested in signing him.

Manchester United are considering signing a new striker in January to help beef up their attack.

Their targets include Bayern Munich Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner.
