rm15 mil for harimau malaya

The government is stepping up efforts to strengthen our national football team.

PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says the govt is allocating 15 million ringgit to make this possible.

He adds that he hopes this allocation will help the national team ensure it has the best managers and coaches.

He also revealed that of the 15 million ringgit, 5 million was contributed by the private sector.

Separately, Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim also congratulated national para badminton athlete Cheah Liek Hou for securing Malaysia's first gold medal at the Paris Paralympics yesterday.

Earlier, the Youth and Sports Ministry said Cheah will receive a 1-million-ringgit reward under the ministry's incentive scheme.

Meanwhile, you can catch the movie ‘GOLD’ on Astro First, based on Cheah Liek Hou’s journey winning a gold medal in the 2020 Paralympics.

Elsewhere, a Ugandan runner who competed in the Paris Olympics is in critical condition in a Kenyan hospital after her ex-boyfriend alleged set her on fire.

Police say she suffered burns to over 75% of her body.

And several F1 drivers have expressed their disagreement regarding Kevin Magnussen's one-race ban following a minor incident with Pierre Gasly at the Monza GP.

This includes Gasly himself and veteran driver Fernando Alonso, who said the punishment was unfair and excessive.
