Arsenal Move Top Of The EPL Standings

Arsenal have temporarily gone top of the EPL table after a comfortable 3-0 away win over Brighton.

They are now one point ahead of second-placed Liverpool…although the Reds have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Man City ensured they are still in the title race after their 4-2 win over Crystal Palace left them in third place, level on points with Liverpool.

In other EPL results…Aston Villa were held to a 3-3 draw by Brentford

Everton overcame Burnley 1-0

Newcastle beat Fulham, also by a goal to nil

West Ham had a 2-1 win over Wolves

While Luton defeated Bournemouth 2-1.

Over in Germany…Bayer Leverkusen are one win away from being crowned Bundesliga champions.

They defeated Union Berlin 1-0…as second placed Bayern Munich fell to a 3-2 defeat to Heidenheim.

Leverkusen now hold a 16-point lead over Bayern, heading into the final six games of the season.

In Spain, Athletic Bilbao have ended their 40-year wait for silverware, beating Mallorca 4-2 on penalties to lift the Copa Del Rey.

And, the Malaysian Stadium Corporation has imposed a temporary ban on any concert structures being erected on the field at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium…to protect the pitch for the upcoming Asian and World Cup qualifier in June.
