Liverpool scored two late goals to record a 2-0 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup third round.

The Reds – who were without Virgil Van Dijk and Mo Salah – got both their goals in the final 15 minutes.

For the Gunners, meanwhile, this is their third straight defeat in all competitions, leaving them without a win since before Christmas.

In other selected FA Cup third round results…Man City thrashed Huddersfield 5-0 as Kevin de Bruyne made his return from a lengthy injury spell.

While West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw by Bristol City.

UK sources say RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is expected to complete his loan move to Tottenham before the end of the week.

Its believed the deal will cost Spurs over four million pounds in wages…while it includes the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

-

And, Rafa Nadal is skipping this month’s Australian Tennis Open, to get treatment on his hip problem.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion picked up the latest injury at a warm-up tournament last week…where he had been making his return after a nearly year-long injury layoff.
